Empennage - Horizontal Stabilizer

2003-08-08 - Riveted Left skin to Front HS spar. (2.5 Hrs).

Last night, I attended the EAA Chapter 187 meeting. I had a great time. The guys were very helpful, and David Kumhyr gave a great demonstration of the Dynon EFIS. I had seen Dynon's website, and I was very interested in this unit, since it does a lot and it is relatively inexpensive ($1995). However, the pictures on the website were not real impressive. You have to see this thing up close to appreciate just how neat it really is. It was very impressive, and it looked great in David's panel (that's right, he brought in his whole panel).

Tonight, I finally got to start setting rivets in the skin of the left side of the horizontal stabilizer. Riveting went great. I'm finally getting the hang of this, but I still have a ways to go before I can say I am competent.
