Empennage - Paint

2003-11-02 - Painted the Right Elevator Fiberglass Tip. (2.0 Hrs).

Yesterday, I painted the right elevator E-612 fiberglass tip. 8 hours later, I sanded off the top layer of paint due to poor technique, and repainted it again this morning. It came out a lot better the second time, but I still have a few problems.

Here, you can see the run on the edge that I have sanded down. I will shoot this part with another coat.

As you can see, the AFS Polyurethane has a nice shiny topcoat.

Here's the end that I fiberglassed, and is now painted. Not perfect, but I think it's ok, except for the run on the edge that I have sanded.
