Wing - Left Fuel Tank

2004-04-21 - Assembling and sealing the tank - Leak Test Passed. (0.5 Hrs).

I got home tonight after work, and the column of water was actually higher than where it was last night. This is what I would expect because the garage was warmer than last night. Looks like the tank is holding pressure, and there are no more leaks. I let this set for several more days, with the same results. Left tank is finally done!

Ok, now that I am done with the left tank, I would like to retract that statement that I made a few weeks ago about ProSealing not being that big a deal. It is a big deal. It is a mess, it is tiring to work with, it is not possible to tell if the rivets are set properly, the rivets stick up, it slows down the whole building process, it is a pain having to work with sticky rubber gloves, and the MEK starts to get to you after awhile. Not to mention what you wife says about the smell. The ProSeal really does suck, but you can get through it. Now, I get to do the other tank in a month or so. I can hardly wait.
