Wing - Left Flaps and Ailerons

2004-05-29 - Priming the aileron and flap parts. (4.0 Hrs).

Finished deburring all of the aileron brackets, the flap brace, and the aileron gap fairings. Then I primed all of the parts. I did things a little differently today. Normally, I would use Scotchbrite to scuff everything, clean all of the parts with solvent, and then etch them before priming. Today, I decided to use Dawn instead of solvent to clean the parts, and I didn't etch them. The etching is a major pain. This seemed to work ok.

All deburred.
Primed the brackets using the special raised mesh flooring (chicken wire).
Primed the flap brace and aileron gap fairing in my special primer booth (cardboard box). It was extremely humid today. Good thing this primer is waterborne.
