Fuselage - Bulkheads

2005-01-12 - Alodining the firewall stiffeners. (1.5 Hrs).

Finished dimpling the firewall, and alodined the other firewall pieces. I was not going to prime these inside parts, but I just couldn't stand leaving them bare. I know, I know, AR. Anyway, I decided I would alodine them instead. This gives them some sort of protection, and technically is not "priming."

The long pieces didn't get as much alodine as usual, because they didn't fit in the tray, so all I could do was wipe them down. Also, my alodine mix was getting weak, and none of the parts were turning as much as I like. So, I added a little more concentrated alodine to the mix, and they started to turn gold, as usual. I really need to start throwing out the old stuff.

Dimpled the inside holes.
Alodined the other parts.
