Fuselage - Bulkheads

2005-06-19 - Deburring and painting the bulkheads. (3.5 Hrs).

Finished deburring the bulkhead pieces, and primed them. Again, this work was actually done over two days time, but there's not much to show. It's not like we haven't seen this before, anyway.

I needed to cut the angle for F-710. The ends are filed to match the angle of the fuselage side.
Again, I'm not going to drill this part until I get the longerons down, so I can match things up.
Everything deburred, ready to be scuffed with Scotch-brite.
Scuffing done, ready to be primed.
Clean with Joy on the left, rinse on the right.
Metal-prep on the left, rinse on the right.
I set things up so I can prime on the bench. Much better than shooting parts on the floor. I actually had too many parts to fit on my chicken wire, so I had to shoot the parts in two batches.
This was a test to see if I could weld aluminum using a mapp torch and aluminum welding rod. I need a little practice.
