Fuselage - Center Section

2005-08-23 - Preparing the center Fuselage. (2.0 Hrs).

Last week, we did a lot of deburring, and started putting the center section together. This week, we finally got to do some real work on the center section. Today, I cut the holes in the F-725 baggage ribs for the steps, and cleco'd all of the baggage ribs to the F-705 bulkhead.

Oops. After I started drilling the hole for the step, it looked kind of close to the edge, so I looked at the plans again, before finishing the hole. Yep, the hole goes in the second tooling hole from the back of the rib, not the last tooling hole. I spent a fair amount of time rubbing this out to get rid of the sharp edges left by the hole saw, but I think it'll be ok.
Cleco'd the baggage ribs to the F-705 bulkhead.
Cleco'd the F-776 bottom skins to the whole shebang. What's wrong with this picture? There is a little problem with the way I cleco'd this together, which I will reveal in the next two log entries.
