2006-04-02 - Riveting the side skins - preparing the left side skin. (2.0 Hrs).
First day after my three week flooring project, I just wanted to get the left side skin cleco'd on and ready to rivet. Turns out there was a few more things to do first.
This used to be...
here, before the wood flooring was installed. These are the things that keep you from building airplanes. This was a one week project that stretched out to 3 weeks. Technically, this project is still not done.
First, I needed to rivet F-623 to the bottom skin. Again, not too close to where the rolled edge slides between F-623 and F-776.
Then, F-715 needed to be riveted before the side skin was installed.
Let's not forget pre-riveting F-704H to the side skin.
Edit 4-16-06: Do not rivet the bottom hole FWD of the wing spar cutout! See 4-15-06.
I know, you're probably saying "How many times are we going to see this?" Well, hopefully, this is the last time. Ready to rivet the left side skin to the center section.
Just to make it official that the longerons will not be removed again, I riveted the AFT section to the longerons at every triple hole location--you'll know what I mean when you get there.
