After all of the preparation, I was eager to get started on riveting the side skins. I managed to start on the left side skin, but got sidetracked by the need to debur the right arm rest. Actually, I really wasn't sidetracked. My arms were too tired to continue after two hours of riveting. The other hour of deburring was just to keep me occupied.
Started riveting the skins at F-705 ...
... and quickly figured out that I had better cleco on the F-724 and F-722 baggage area ribs. Also, the F-720 arm rests. They had better be deburred, because they aren't coming off again (I needed to debur the right arm rest).
See, you can get most of these by yourself. Even Dufus can do it.
That's a good start, but my arms are dead-dog-tired. Riveting overhead sucks. Now's a good time to debur the right arm rest.
While deburring F-720 I found quite a few scratches on the part. Oh my god, what to do? Honestly, I've seen guys on the RV-lists make a big deal about something like this. They expect all of the parts to come from Van's in perfect condition. If you are one of those guys, then you probably should hit the Back button, I can't help you. Call Van's and have him hold you hand. So, what did I do about this? Scotch-brite and then move on--there's nothing wrong with this part.
Right arm rest (F-720R) installed, ready to rivet.
As well as the baggage area side ribs (F-722/F-724).
Everything ready to rivet from F-704 back.
