Fuselage - Cabin

2006-09-17 - Forward covers. (5.0 Hrs).

Finished-up deburring and installing nutplates in the forward covers.

Finished deburring all of the forward cover parts before going on to the flaps. That used up three-and-a-half-hours.
Before going on to the flaps, I remembered that I needed to do the nutplates in the F-601K battery box cutout. Now, how do we dimple and rivet these (C-frame I guess).
The C-frame worked to dimple the holes for the nutplates, but did not work for setting the rivets.
Setup for riveting nutplates. F-601K is pretty flimsy and it was hard to rivet such a small part. Consequently, I mangled the rivets.
Backside, after drilling out one nutplate. Still screwed-up. I didn't feel like working on the flaps after this.
Not good, but not that bad.
Definitely, not good.
Ok, since we are riveting nutplates that we forgot to do, might as well take care of these in the top of the F-983C valve cover.
I assembled everything, just to make sure everything fit.
Looks good.
Good.
